My Second Home.

"You can take a child out of Scottish, but you can never take Scottish out of them."

BOMBAY SCOTTISH SCHOOL, MAHIM

"...but it's how you played the game."

It hit me when I saw the first reel of the Scottish Zeitgeist that 'I did it all'. 14 years ago when I first walked into Scottish, clutching my mom's dress, I cried just like my fellow batch mates, not wanting to go to school. As I grew up, I realized that Scottish was not only academics for me. I started participating in extra-curricular activities ever since I was in Grade 3. Eventually, I started spending more time outside classroom, participating in a wide range of activities - from Gymnastics competitions to Throwball matches, from every single Inter-School and Inter-House Dance Events and Competitions to Band Practices, from MUNs to writing or art competitions, from choreographing for Annual Concerts to decorating boards outside my classrooms, from auditioning for Dramatics to being a part of the Script-writing team, from having 100% attendance (even after so many extra-curriculars) to coming up with more extra-curricular activity ideas than Scottish already has - I did it all.

Spending almost all my life in a school that I now call home has played a major role in shaping my identity. It has shown me my worst as well as my best days. It has taught me to become a better version of myself, to stand up for yourself, to voice your believes, to empathize with others and most importantly to be a leader. My teachers, peers, and helping-staff at Scottish is creditable for helping me become who I am today.

And you will never not hear a Scottishite saying, "You can take a child out of Scottish, but you can never take Scottish out of them." Truly agreeing with Scottish's motto 'Perseverantia et Fide in Deo' i.e. Latin for Perseverance and Faith in God.
